HTC P3300

Dear Sirs,
I had purchased an HTC P3300 set last month and I regret to say that it was stolen yesterday.
I have been hearing that with the IMEI & the Sr. No. of the set it is possible to trace 'or' deactivate the set.
I have learnt that this is done on NOKIA set and was recovered by my colleague in Bangalore.
